Boulder Performance Lab . . . Check It Out!

9/6/2008 On September 4th, Gail went to Boulder Performance Lab for testing. What an experience! Jason Smith, the test administrator, is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. Jason provided valuable information to help Gail with training and racing. For example, she has entered the Harvest Moon Duathlon and will be using the information to target her optimal heart rate for the run and bike segments and to estimate her carbohydrate and fueling requirements for the effort. BPL's testing also provided Gail with her training zones which will enable her to target every training effort to its specific purpose. The whole experience at BPL was fun and informative. 7/26/2008 Thanks to everyone who attended! We had an excellent showing and enjoyed some delicious pasta catered by our friends at the Niwot Tavern. The Felt demo truck was here with some awesome bikes for people to test ride.



We also had Zeal Optics here with samplings of all their high-quality, crystal clear, polarized sunglasses. We've picked up the Zeal line, so come and check 'em out at our store. Jim Smith, world record holder for the 24 hour duathlon, talked with us about his ultra experiences including this month's Badwater ultra run. Jodee and Barry Siff of 5430 Sports attended with an excellent video of this year's 5430 Sprint Triathlon, and they also brought some raffle items. Erik Frank, our Mizuno running shoe rep, was here to answer questions. Thank you loyal customers, friends, and Boulder Triathlon Club members for showing up in large numbers. Thanks also to Dieter Bruhn and Craig Mintzlaff, who handled the announcements and PA system for us. We appreciate all of you!
